Our spring season starts with the opening of the Trout/Salmon season the last Saturday of April. Followed by the pike/walleye season opening on May 15 and finally bass season the last Saturday of May. Fishing for whitefish and minominee off the shores of Lake Superior is also available all spring.
All spring and summer ORV riding and rock hounding are also available right from the Lodge. The birdwatching heats up with the spring migration. We can expect sightings of Merlin, American Kestrel, Sandhill Cranes and many more as the temperatures climb and the days get longer.
Of course all the animals are having their young this time of year and they are very active. Don't be surprised if you get to see a bear cub or young whitetail fawn, or even a moose when you're out looking at wildflower, wild birds and waterfowl.
